Your New Gig (sometimes referred to as YNG) is an online careers advice and coaching platform. Through YNG, people can access a heap of resources to help them take the next step in their career – from free videos and online career coaching, to resume templates and sample cover letters. If you’re at a crossroads in your career, it can be a great place to find some clarity, and work out that critical next move.
Joining YNG is FREE – if you do this, you can access a wide range of quality videos, plus our networking tools. Through YNG you can also opt to complete paid courses. Each course focuses on a different area, from interview technique, to negotiation skills.
If you’ve been made redundant, your company may pre-pay for you to complete courses through YNG – or you can simply pay for them yourself.

What do I do if I lose my password?
There’s a button on our login page that says ‘Forgot My Password’. Just click on this and follow the prompts – or alternatively click here.
How do I change my email address?
It's easy to change your email address at Your New Gig. Just login to our site and click on your name in the upper right-hand corner of the screen, and then click on "Settings." You'll be able to update your email address there.
Once I join, am I locked in?
No, you can delete your account at any time (although if you do, please note you won’t be entitled to a refund for any training you’ve paid for and not yet completed).
To delete your account contact us by clicking here , and follow the prompts.
If you simply want to receive fewer emails from us, you can click the ‘unsubscribe’ button at the bottom of any email we’ve sent.
Can I download the videos to my own computer?
Videos included in your package can be accessed and viewed on the YNG dashboard. All course materials are the intellectual property of YNG, so downloading or copying our videos is strictly prohibited.
How do I report a bug or an issue on the site?
To report a bug or technical issue, click here to send details to our development team. We’d appreciate if you could provide:
- a brief description of the problem
- the web browser you are using
- some screen shots if possible
How long does it take a coach to confirm my preferred timeslot(s)?
After you select and book a coach through your dashboard, he or she will confirm your preferred time within 24hrs.
How are coaching sessions facilitated?
Your coaching session will be conducted in the comfort of your home via phone call or video conference using free technology apps such as Skype, Facetime, Zoom, WhatsApp etc. In your first communication with your coach, you will agree on a technology platform that works best for the both of you.
Can I use this service if I’m based in another country?
Absolutely! However, there are two considerations you must take into account before purchasing any of our courses.
Many of our coaches are based in Australia, so you will need to factor in time differences when arranging coaching sessions. Some coaches will be happy to provide coaching services outside of normal Australian business hours (AEST) so please discuss this with your chosen coach.
At this stage our platform will only allow meetings to be scheduled in AEST (Australian Eastern Standard Time). Any meetings arranged through your personal dashboard will display in AEST so please ensure you record your meeting in your own local time zone.
I’ve booked a session, but I haven’t heard from my coach. What should I do?
If it’s been over 24 hours and you haven’t been contacted by your coach, please contact us and a member of our team will help you to get connected.
What happens if I want to change my appointment?
If you need to change your appointment, contact your coach immediately. Coaches require a minimum of 24hours notice which allows them to rebook this time with other members. You can then work with your coach to schedule a new appointment that’s convenient for both of you.
Unless arranged with your coach you will not be able to receive a credit for the hours allocated to the coach.
If I choose a coach but they are not the right fit, can I change coaches?
When selecting a coach, it’s important to review each profile carefully to determine if their experience and areas of expertise will help you achieve your career goals. In the event you feel the fit is not right after your initial session, please contact us immediately so we can work with you to make things right.
How can I become a coach with YNG?
YNG is always looking to expand our team of professional coaches. If you are interested in working with us, please email us and introduce yourself. We’ll then be in touch to let you know the process from there.
Should I import my contacts from my personal email address?
Our networking platform is designed so you match your network by the companies you wish to explore and target. If you know people who might be able to introduce you to targeted companies then we suggest you upload them manually at this stage so you can manage your job search by targeted companies.
How is my personal information used?

Do you offer payment plans?
Unfortunately, not right now but we may introduce payment plans in the future.

We accept VISA, MasterCard and American Express Credit and Debit cards.
Are my transactions safe?
YNG has partnered with Stripe to manage payment processing. Stripe is certified to PCI Service Provider Level 1. This is the most stringent level of certification available in the payments industry.
